Appearance

Pes' Dottyback is a small, elongated fish with deep blue to purple coloration and distinctive red or orange spots covering the body. The dorsal fin is tall and extends most of the body length, and the fish has a somewhat compressed lateral profile characteristic of dottybacks.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied carnivorous diet consisting of high-quality frozen or prepared foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small meaty foods. May also accept some small copepods and amphipods in an established reef.
