Appearance

The Painted Dottyback displays a vibrant purple body with distinctive orange-red markings and stripes. This small, elongated fish has a compact body shape with pointed dorsal and anal fin spines characteristic of the Plesiopidae family.

Diet and feeding

Feed high-quality frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Live copepods are also readily consumed. They are opportunistic feeders and should be offered varied meaty foods multiple times daily in captivity.
