Appearance

A small, elongated fish with a striking purple or magenta body marked by narrow black horizontal stripes running the length of the body. The fins are also brightly colored in purple and blue tones.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied carnivorous diet of high-quality frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped meaty preparations. Occasionally supplement with small live foods. Feed multiple small portions daily rather than one large feeding.
