Appearance
Flattened, oval-shaped fish with a maximum length of 15 cm. Dorsal side is olive-yellow and ventral side is white. Distinctive black, crescent-shaped marking on top of head.
Diet and feeding
Marine invertebrates (sponges, worms), zooplankton (copepods, amphipods), small fish (clownfish, gobies). In aquariums: brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, dried seaweed.
