Appearance

A slender, elongated blenny with a tan to brown base coloration and a distinctive dark ocellus (eye-spot) on the dorsal fin near the head. The body tapers posteriorly with a compressed tail suitable for navigating reef crevices.

Diet and feeding

Feeds on small crustaceans, algae, and organic detritus in the wild. In captivity, offer varied fare including high-quality micropellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and spirulina-based foods. May graze on algae-covered rocks.
