Appearance
Slender body with silvery-white to pale tan coloration and distinctive narrow red or reddish stripes running horizontally along the sides. The dorsal fins are typically reddish, and the mouth is notably large relative to head size.
Diet and feeding
Feeds on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and frozen foods such as mysis shrimp and copepods. In captivity, offer small meaty foods 2–3 times daily; they are nocturnal feeders and may be shy initially but will adjust with consistent feeding routines.
