Appearance

Small, streamlined cardinalfish with a reddish or orange-red body coloration and distinctive narrow dark stripes running along the sides. Large eye, small terminal mouth, and nocturnal behavior typical of the Apogonidae family.

Diet and feeding

Feed live or frozen small foods such as copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and small fish larvae. Offer 1-2 times daily in the evening when nocturnal cardinals are most active.
