Appearance

Slender body with horizontal lines running the length of the fish, tan to brown coloration with white or pale stripes. Fangblennies are characterized by enlarged canine teeth and a small mouth adapted for feeding in crevices.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including finely chopped frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small copepods. Fangblennies are ambush predators in the wild; offer multiple small feedings daily to stimulate natural feeding behavior.
