Appearance
A small, cryptically colored scorpionfish with a highly compressed, leaf-like body and venomous spines. Coloration varies from brown, red, tan, or yellow with darker mottling; the body resembles drifting seaweed and can match rocky or sandy substrates.
Diet and feeding
Small fish, crustaceans, frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods. Sedentary ambush predator.
