Both sexes have an elongated body typical of the genus Cirrhilabrus.

Diet and feeding

Feed small carnivorous foods including finely chopped quality meats, small frozen foods (mysis shrimp, copepods), and vitamin-enriched preparations. Offer varied diet 2-3 times daily.

Difficulty and care for the Jordan's Fairy Wrasse

Moderate care required. Jordan's Fairy Wrasse needs a well-established reef aquarium with stable conditions and plenty of live rock for grazing and refuge. It is generally hardy once acclimated but can be sensitive to poor water quality and rapid parameter changes.

Common health issues

Parasitic infections (white spot, black spot), head and lateral line erosion (HLLE), stress-related illness from inadequate space or aggressive tank mates.

Origin and habitat

Indo-Pacific region, found from Indonesia to the Philippines and throughout Melanesia and Micronesia.
