Males display a predominantly blue-green head and upper body with orange-red to pink lower body and tail, while females are generally more uniformly orange-red or pinkish. Both sexes possess the characteristic elongated, graceful body shape typical of fairy wrasses, with pointed dorsal and anal fins.
Diet and feeding
Joan Allen's Fairy Wrasse is a planktivore that feeds on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, provide high-quality frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, amphipods, and finely minced seafood, supplemented with small pellets designed for small reef fish.
