Appearance

Small blenny with a tan to brown body and dark banding patterns. Males display prominent head crests or horn-like tentacles above the eyes, which are more pronounced during territorial and spawning displays.

Diet and feeding

Feed small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and finely minced meaty preparations. Supplement with small amounts of macroalgae or spirulina-based flake foods. Feed 2–3 times daily in small portions.
