Appearance

A striking black and white butterflyfish with a compressed, disc-shaped body. Characterized by a tall, elongated dorsal fin ray extending above the head, bold black and white banding on the body, and yellow coloration on the dorsal fin base and snout.

In captivity, feed a varied diet of quality marine flakes, small frozen foods (mysis shrimp, chopped fish), and occasional live foods. Offer multiple small meals daily to ensure feeding. Some individuals are slow to acclimate and may require live food initially.
