Appearance
Small elongated goby with a translucent to yellowish body marked by bright blue-green vertical bands across the head and anterior body. Maximum length around 2 inches; distinctive narrow profile and small terminal mouth adapted for picking parasites and food items from surfaces.
Diet and feeding
Feeds primarily on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and organic detritus in the wild. In captivity, offer high-quality small pellets, frozen copepods, and mysis shrimp. May also forage on microalgae and biofilm. Feed 2–3 times daily in small portions.
