Appearance

A small, elongated goby with banded or striped patterns in white, yellow, and brown coloration. The body is slender with a flattened head and the iconic paired pelvic fins form a disc-like structure used for anchoring in burrows.

Diet and feeding

Feeds primarily on small zooplankton and microfauna in the wild. In captivity, offer mysis shrimp, copepods, and very small prepared foods multiple times daily to meet their high metabolic needs.
