Appearance

Small, globular pufferfish with yellowish-green to greenish-brown coloration on the dorsal surface and white to pale yellow ventrum. Characteristic bright green or blue-green spots cover the body, and three black spots are present along the midline. The eyes are positioned high on the head, and the fish can inflate when threatened.
