Appearance
Priolepis nocturna is a tiny, translucent to pale-bodied goby with a nearly glass-like appearance and minimal pigmentation. It has a slender body, small mouth, and distinctive behavioral habit of hovering near the substrate or in cave crevices, active primarily at night.
Diet and feeding
Feed small live or frozen planktonic foods such as copepods, rotifers, and finely-sized frozen mysis shrimp. This deep-reef species requires frequent small meals of appropriately-sized prey items.
