Appearance
A slender, elongate goby with a pale sandy to white coloration and distinctive spotted or diamond-patterned markings over the head and body. The first dorsal fin is tall and may be slightly elevated, and the fish has a characteristic downward-pointing mouth adapted for sifting sand.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality small pellets, mysis shrimp, and copepods. They naturally feed on small benthic organisms and detritus sifted from the sand bed, so a healthy refugium and sand bed are essential to supplement their diet with natural microfauna.
