Appearance
Elongated, slender body (15 cm in length). Dorsal side is olive green, while ventral side is paler yellow. Distinctive black ocellus on each flank. White margin along caudal fin base.
Diet and feeding
Wrasse (Labrus galapagos) feeds on marine algae, small invertebrates, and various fish fry in the wild. In aquariums, they consume marine algae, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and marine fish pellets.
