Appearance
The Flower Cardinalfish is a small, slender species with a predominantly reddish-orange body and distinctive dark bands or stripes running along the sides. The fins are translucent to orange, and the fish displays a characteristic bigeye cardinalfish body shape with large eye relative to head size.
Diet and feeding
Primarily feeds on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, offer small meaty foods such as copepods, mysid shrimp, frozen mysis, and quality micro pellets designed for small carnivores. Feed multiple small portions daily.
