Appearance

The Figure 8 Puffer is a small, yellowish-tan puffer fish with distinctive black figure-8 markings on its body and head. It has a rounded body, large eyes, and a small mouth adapted for crushing hard-shelled invertebrates.

Diet and feeding

Feed small hard-shelled invertebrates such as snails, clams, and frozen bloodworms. In captivity, crushed crab or mollusk meat, and occasionally live snails to wear down continuously-growing teeth. Feed 1-2 times daily in small portions.
