Appearance
Chaetodon baronessa displays the distinctive triangular body shape characteristic of butterflyfish, with a yellow-gold coloration across the head, dorsal fin, and anal fin. A prominent black diagonal stripe runs from the nape through the eye, and the rear body and tail are marked with dark vertical bars and a dark posterior margin, creating a striking high-contrast pattern.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, offer a varied diet including high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, frozen mysid shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Supplement with vegetable matter such as spirulina or nori sheets. Feed twice daily in appropriate portion sizes.
