Appearance
Small, slender wrasse with striking coloration: males display vibrant red-orange on the head, body, and fins with iridescent blue markings on the face. The tail is distinctively patterned with blue and red bands. Females are duller orange-red overall.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty items including frozen copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped frozen marine fare. A healthy refugium with pod populations supports natural grazing. High-quality flake or pellet foods for carnivorous wrasses are also accepted.
