Appearance
The Chevron Butterflyfish has a white to pale yellow body with distinctive black chevron-shaped (V-shaped) vertical bands running across its sides. The head is predominantly white with black markings around the eyes and mouth, and the dorsal and anal fins are yellow with black edges. The pectoral and caudal fins are translucent with yellow tones.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, offer a varied diet of high-quality small pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen copepods, and finely chopped seafood. Include vegetable matter such as spirulina-based foods and small amounts of blanched seaweed. Feed small portions 2–3 times daily.

Origin and habitat
Indo-Pacific region from the Red Sea and East Africa eastward through Indonesia and the Philippines to the Great Barrier Reef and central Pacific islands, including Hawaii. Found in tropical coral reef environments at depths of 5–40 meters.
