Appearance
The Brown-and-White Butterflyfish is a medium-sized fish featuring a striking bicolored body pattern. The anterior half (head and front body) is predominantly white or pale yellow, while the posterior half transitions to deep brown or dark gray. A distinctive dark vertical band runs through the eye, and the dorsal and anal fins typically display fine barring or edge markings.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, this species feeds on a varied diet of finely chopped meaty foods, high-quality marine flakes, and small frozen items such as mysis shrimp and copepods. Feed a balanced omnivorous diet to support coloration and health.
