Appearance
Small, slender-bodied cardinalfish with a reddish or pinkish body color and two distinctive dark lateral stripes running the length of the body. The mouth is large and terminal; the eye is proportionally large. Generally under 3 inches in adult length.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods such as finely chopped frozen shrimp, mysis shrimp, and small crustaceans. In captivity, they may also accept high-quality frozen copepods and small fish fry. Feed once or twice daily in portions appropriate to tank size and bioload.
