Appearance

The Bluestriped Butterflyfish features a bright yellow body with distinctive electric-blue stripes running vertically across its sides. It has a black face mask extending from the snout through the eye, and a characteristic black spot near the dorsal fin base. The body shape is compressed and oval, typical of the butterflyfish family.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, offer a varied diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small crustaceans, supplemented with quality flake foods and occasional vegetable matter. Feed 2-3 times daily in small portions.
