Appearance

Male has a distinctive dark dorsal band across the back, with bright green coloration on the head and body; females are more uniformly reddish-orange. The wrasse has an elongated body typical of the genus Anampses.

Diet and feeding

Feed meaty foods including mysis shrimp, small frozen fish, and quality marine flakes. Supplement with small crustaceans and copepods. Feed 2-3 times daily in smaller portions.
