#calcium

Calcium pairs with alkalinity to build coral skeleton. Most reef keepers run calcium between 400 and 450 ppm, and let it drift inside that band rather than chasing a single number. The harder problem is keeping calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium in ratio — burning through one without the others stalls coral growth. Reef Trak tracks all three on the same chart and lets you log calcium reactors, kalkwasser, two-part dosing, and ICP results in one place.
