Appearance
Small, elongated goby with a bluish body and distinctive bright yellow horizontal stripe running from head to tail. Reaches about 2.5 inches and has a somewhat flattened body profile typical of gobies.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and amphipods 2–3 times daily. Will also accept finely minced seafood and small prepared foods. Elacatinus species are primarily microphagous in the wild, picking at substrate and rocks for small crustaceans.
