Appearance

A small, elongated goby with a tan to yellowish body marked by distinctive dark vertical bars or bands. The head is slightly darker with a characteristic Y-shaped marking on the forehead, from which it derives its common name. The body shape is typical of watchman gobies—compact and slightly tapered toward the tail.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Offer food items appropriately sized for this small goby.
