Appearance
Bright red to deep tomato-red body with white markings on the head and body (typically two white bars). Black-edged dorsal, anal, and caudal fins. Stocky, compressed body typical of the Amphiprion genus.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied diet of high-quality flake food, frozen mysis shrimp, and small frozen foods. Supplement with vegetable matter occasionally. Feed 1–2 times daily in appropriate portions.
Difficulty and care for the Tomato Clownfish
Tomato Clownfish are moderately difficult to keep compared to true beginner clownfish, requiring stable water conditions and a host anemone for long-term success. They are hardy once established but can be aggressive toward conspecifics and may show aggression toward other fish.
