Appearance
The Striped Shrimpfish has an elongated, transparent to translucent body with distinctive dark vertical stripes running along its length. It possesses a tubular snout and typically swims with its body held at a near-vertical angle.
Diet and feeding
Feed small live or frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and amphipods 2–3 times daily. This species is a specialized microphage and requires frequent small meals of appropriately sized prey.
