Appearance

Small, elongated goby with a mottled brown and tan body covered in white spots and stellate markings that give it the "starry" appearance. The head is slightly flattened, and the first dorsal fin is tall and spinous. Eyes are positioned dorsally and may be partially obscured by the patterning.

Diet and feeding

Feed small live or frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and small crustaceans. May accept high-quality frozen preparations. Feed 1–2 times daily in small portions.
