Appearance

The Sailfin Tang is a large, laterally compressed fish with vibrant coloration ranging from yellow-gold to orange on the body and a distinctive tall, sail-like dorsal fin decorated with blue or dark bands and spots. It has a dark spot near the gill plate and blue-ringed eyes.
