Appearance

Brilliant electric blue body with bioluminescent spots along the head and gill covers, and a small pale bar near the mouth. Males display more intense coloration than females.

Diet and feeding

Feed small frozen or live foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and amphipods 1–2 times daily. This planktivore requires frequent small meals and does best in mature tanks with established populations of natural prey.
