Appearance

Meyer's Butterflyfish is a yellow and white chaetodontid with a distinctive white bar crossing the eye and a yellow face and dorsal region. The body is predominantly white with yellow markings on the head and anterior dorsal fin, and displays the characteristic deep, compressed body shape typical of butterflyfish.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of high-quality flake foods, small pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and finely chopped frozen foods. Offer food 2-3 times daily in small portions. This species benefits from occasional feeding of small crustaceans and zooplankton-based preparations.
