Appearance
A medium-sized butterflyfish with a predominantly yellow body marked by distinctive dark vertical bands. The face is white to pale yellow with dark markings around the eye, and the dorsal fin displays yellow and orange hues. The pectoral and anal fins are yellow-orange.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, provide a varied diet of high-quality marine flake, small pellets, and frozen foods (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, chopped seafood). Feed small amounts multiple times daily. This species is known to be selective and may be difficult to acclimate to prepared foods.
