Appearance

Gobiopsis quinquecincta displays a tan to yellowish body with five dark vertical bands (hence "quinquecincta"). It has a somewhat elongated goby body shape with a rounded snout and is marked with fine spotting and barring patterns throughout its flanks.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. The Jaguar Goby is a bottom-feeding microcarnivore that benefits from regular feeding of small live or frozen prey items to support its natural foraging behavior.
