Appearance
The Goram Dragonet is a small, elongated fish with a somewhat flattened body typical of the Callionymidae family. It displays intricate mottled coloration in browns, yellows, and reds with fine patterns across its body. The fish has large pectoral fins and a characteristic small, downward-facing mouth adapted for bottom feeding.
Diet and feeding
Feeds on small crustaceans, copepods, and amphipods. In captivity, requires live copepod cultures, quality mysis shrimp, and small frozen foods. Grazing populations of copepods in an established tank are essential for long-term success.
Difficulty and care for the Goram Dragonet
The Goram Dragonet is difficult to keep and best suited for experienced aquarists. It requires a mature, well-established tank with abundant live food populations and is sensitive to water quality fluctuations.
