Appearance
A small, slender goby with bright orange-red coloration on the head and body, contrasting with white or pale yellow bands and spots. The pectoral fins are enlarged and fan-like, used for hovering and creating air currents.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including copepods, amphipods, and small frozen preparations (mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp). Requires frequent feeding of tiny portions due to small mouth size. A refugium with established populations of copepods and amphipods supports natural grazing behavior.
