Appearance
The Elongate Unicornfish features an elongated, laterally compressed body with a steep forehead that develops a frontal horn or protuberance in males. Coloration is blue-gray to brown dorsally with a lighter, silvery ventral surface; fins are yellow to orange, particularly the tail and dorsal fin.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality herbivorous foods including macroalgae, spirulina-based pellets, and dried seaweed sheets. Supplement with vegetable matter such as blanched spinach or nori. Provide frequent small meals rather than large amounts to mimic natural grazing behavior.
