Appearance

The Chiseltooth Wrasse features distinctive chisel-like teeth (visible when mouth is open) and a streamlined, elongated body. Coloration is predominantly green-blue with yellow-orange markings on the head and anterior body; individuals display considerable color variation based on sex and mood.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of meaty foods including mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small frozen fish. Small crustaceans and zooplankton are also accepted. Soak frozen foods in vitamin supplements to maintain health.
