• Minimum 20 gallon tank • Maintain temperature 72–78°F, pH 8.1–8.4, and salinity 1.023–1.025 • Nocturnal grazer that consumes algae, detritus, and biofilm; very low bioload • Hardy and undemanding; benefits from stable water conditions and rockwork for grazing • May benefit from occasional dried seaweed if algae is sparse
