Western Atlantic, from Florida and the Caribbean to Brazil, including Gulf of Mexico.

• Minimum 20 gallon tank with adequate live rock for hiding and grazing • Temperature range 72–78 °F; maintain stable salinity 1.023–1.025 • Hardy and tolerant of typical reef conditions; nocturnal forager • Feed supplemental algae wafers and detritus-rich substrate; scavenges copepods and small debris
