Appearance
The Spotted Unicornfish is a large, laterally compressed tang with a grayish-blue body covered in distinctive dark spots and blotches. It possesses a prominent horn-like rostral protuberance on the forehead (more pronounced in males), and a venomous spine at the base of the tail characteristic of the surgeon tang family.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied herbivorous diet of high-quality marine algae sheets (nori), spirulina-based pellets, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini or spinach. Supplement occasionally with macroalgae in the tank. Feed once daily or divide into 2–3 feedings.
