Appearance

Long silver ribbon-like body with large mirror-bright scales, an upturned drawbridge mouth bearing two chin barbels, and long flowing dorsal and anal fins running to the tail.

A monster surface predator reaching 3ft that swallows fish and anything that fits its upturned mouth; territorial toward similar species. Sold as small juveniles but grows extremely fast. The most powerful jumper in the hobby — leaps clear out of open tanks and injures itself on lids.
