Appearance

Blenniidae red have an elongated oval shape, usually reaching about 12 cm in length. Their body color is primarily crimson or dark red, occasionally showing a faint white line along the sides. Distinctive features include a protruding snout and a fleshy growth on the head above the eye (known as a cirrus), often used for cleaning.
