Appearance

Small blenny with a mottled brown and tan body, often with darker bands or blotches. Males develop a distinctive enlarged cirrus (tentacle-like structure) above each eye. The body is elongated and somewhat compressed laterally.

Diet and feeding

Feeds primarily on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, offer frozen copepods, mysis shrimp, and high-quality micro-pellets designed for small carnivores. Feed 1–2 times daily in small amounts.
