Appearance
The Linear Blenny is a small, slender fish with a pale tan to brownish body marked with distinctive dark horizontal stripes or lines running the length of the body. It has a pointed snout, small dorsal fin, and a tapered body typical of the Blenniidae family, reaching about 3.5 inches in length.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, feed small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and finely chopped preparations, supplemented with occasional vegetable matter and high-quality micro pellets. Feed small portions 1-2 times daily to match their natural grazing behavior.
Difficulty and care for the Linear Blenny
The Linear Blenny is moderately difficult, requiring stable water conditions, a minimum 20 gallon tank, and careful feeding to ensure it receives adequate nutrition. It is best suited to established reef aquariums with mature populations of small crustaceans.
